Instructions for Transferring or Copying Google Drive

Here are a few things you need to know if you want to transfer your Google Drive content out of CUSD:

Before you begin, it is recommended to tidy up your CUSD Drive.

Place important files in folders, delete (or disregard) any files you don't want to take with you, and organize files and folders as needed. This will help the transfer process considerably.

Google Sites webpages and Google Forms most likely will not transfer out of your CUSD Google Drive.

At this time, Google Sites and Google Forms are not officially supported in the transfer process. However, they can be copied to a Google account outside of CUSD.

You will lose permissions on any files or folders that have been shared with you within the CUSD Google Drive.

If you are not the author of a shared file or folder, you will no longer have access to those items once you leave CUSD. However, you can make a copy, as will be explained later.

You only need to select one of the options below to take your CUSD files with you.

Whichever method you select, it's important to consider variables such as:

Please plan accordingly.

2. Transfer your content from the CUSD Google Drive to your personal Google Drive

3. Use the Google Takeout feature

Do not wait until the last minute to follow these steps. Users who are leaving the district may have their accounts deleted very quickly after they withdraw or graduate.
